As the travel world continues to adjust its procedures and policies during the pandemic, the Cancun-Riviera Mexico region and Hotel Xcaret are doing all they can to ensure the health, safety and well-being of all its travelers and visitors.
The resorts in Mexico are extremely diligent in their pandemic cleansing and sanitizing procedures, so please respect and follow their policies and rules throughout your stay.

Air Travel
All travelers are required to wear masks in common areas at the airports. Masks must also be properly worn over your nose and mouth region while on the plane, except when you are actively eating or drinking. Travel tip: carry hand sanitzer and cleansing wipes with you on your flight for an extra cleaning measure.
Bus, Taxi or Public Transportation Travel
Out of courtesy and respect for Mexican locals and other travelers, please wear your masks on all shuttle, bus, taxi or public transportation while in Mexico. This includes the airport shuttle provided by the hotel and all bus and shuttles that travel in between the hotel and parks/excursions.
Hotel Experience
All staff members at Hotel Xcaret will be wearing masks and face shields to ensure the safety of those they interact with, especially hotel guests.
A health kit is delivered to all guests of Hotel Xcaret México upon arrival, which includes: individual sanitizing gel, face mask and basic preventive advice. The hotel will also have face masks that can be purchased at hotel and park shops.
Guests at Hotel Xcaret and the parks/excursions are asked to wear masks in public and common spaces, except when you are actively eating, drinking or swimming. Please maintain social distancing practices and continue to wash your hands and use hand sanitizing stations displayed throughout the property.
Guests will have their temperature taken upon arrival at check-in and whenever entering restaurants or eateries. This is a measure taken to keep all guests safe especially in common areas.
Hotel Procedures:
Upon your arrival at the resort, disinfection processes are applied on hand luggage, handbags and strollers as well as footwear.
To ensure the effective disinfection of the areas and based on the recommendations issued by the World Health Organization (WHO), the hotel uses high impact disinfectants, with long-term residual activity, biodegradables and authorized by U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) to guarantee the disinfection on all areas and surfaces where visitors, guests, and hotel staff may have contact with.
Mass disinfection is being applied on hallways, walkways, forums and areas of high simultaneous daily gathering (even while physical distancing), including parking lots. Disinfectant is frequently applied, from nebulization in access and waiting zones, to specific surfaces such as doorknobs, counters and handrails, among others.
The resort has specialized equipment for laboratory use, that helps detect, control and guarantee high hygiene standards and to ensure the disinfection long-term effect process.
All the equipment to be used for enjoying the facilities or activities, is delivered properly disinfected and placed over disinfected surfaces or customer support modules, so that the client can take them avoiding always physical contact.
Room cleaning and disinfection is carried out twice a day (during room cleaning service and evening courtesy). In addition, hotel linens are laundered according to health center standards and routine procedures.
Deep cleaning and disinfection in all business units' restrooms, showers and dressing rooms, using hospital-grade products.

NEGATIVE COVID TEST REQUIREMENT TO RETURN TO THE U.S.A.
All travelers returning to the U.S. from Mexico are required to show a negative Covid-19 test taken within 3 days before their return date.
Hotel Xcaret is offering testing to all guests on-site. Please make sure to schedule your test upon check-in to ensure that you have this taken care of. When you go to your testing appointment, you will need to bring your passport -- please make sure all your form info matches your passport.
The antigen test is included in the room rate for guests who are residents in the United States* (one per person). For guests who are not residents in that country it is available at a cost of 19 USD per person. The result is sent the same day.
As a result of the statement issued by the United States Government Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), where a NEGATIVE COVID-19 is an essential requirement for entering the country, the COVID-19 antigen test will be offered without cost to guests and members U.S. residents staying at the Hotel Xcaret México.
IMPORTANT: If you test positive, you will need to quarantine for at least 10 days before you are approved by a doctor to fly back home (permitted if you do not show any lingering symptoms).
Upon check-in, all Hotel Xcaret México guests can purchase additional health coverage at $19/person -- this coverage includes medical and travel assistance (including accommodations for a 13 day quaratine period should you test positive). You will then be quarantined at a hotel closer to Cancun hotel zone.
